On Thursday (November 20, 2025), the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM), through the Doctoral Program in Legal Studies (PDIH), successfully held a legal outreach event in Mungkid Village, Mungkid Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. This activity is an integral part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, specifically in the area of community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three PDIH FH UGM students served as speakers at the event, providing practical and in-depth insights tailored to issues relevant to the community. The three were Kudrat Abdillah, Uni Tsulasi Putri, and Muhammad Karim Amrullah. Kudrat presented on family law issues with the aim of fostering an understanding of rights and obligations within the family context. Next, Uni addressed issues in contract law to educate the community about the valid requirements for contracts and the legal consequences if those requirements are not met. Karim, meanwhile, discussed legal issues in the fields of labor and village governance, aiming to provide insights into Administrative Law and Labor Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The educational materials were presented in interactive sessions followed by question-and-answer sessions between the speakers and participants. This entire series of activities aimed to enhance the public\u2019s legal knowledge and awareness so that they could understand their legal rights and obligations, while also providing insights into family law, contracts, village financial management, and labor law. Furthermore, this event successfully demonstrated the role of higher education institutions in promoting fair and equitable access to legal information for all segments of society, in line with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
