On Wednesday (November 19, 2025), the Doctoral Program in Law at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (PDIH FH UGM) once again demonstrated its commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service, through legal outreach. This activity was held in Ambartawang Village, Mungkid Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. The objective of this activity was to enhance the community\u2019s legal knowledge and awareness\u2014particularly among village officials, hamlet heads, and RT\/RW leaders in Ambartawang Village\u2014so they can understand their legal rights and obligations in community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This legal outreach event featured three speakers who are doctoral students in the PDIH program at the Faculty of Law, UGM. First, Haniah Ilhami presented on family law to help build a strong family foundation as the smallest unit of society. Second, Susilo Andi Darma presented on labor law, focusing on social security. The goal was to provide insight into social protection for the community through social security programs. Third, Wendy Kenafiana Assanti presented on village governance law to provide the community with insights into transparent, participatory, and accountable village governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The legal education session was designed to be interactive and included a question-and-answer session that encouraged in-depth discussion between the speakers and participants. This activity not only served as a means of knowledge transfer but also as a tangible contribution by PDIH FH UGM toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, \u201cPeace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,\u201d specifically by ensuring fair and equitable access to legal information while strengthening robust governance and institutions at the village level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
