The exams will take place over two weeks, from Monday, October 6, 2025, to Friday, October 17, 2025. These exams cover all required and elective courses taken by students from the 2021 to 2024 cohorts, including those in both the regular and international classes (International Undergraduate Program/IUP).

Midterm exams are conducted in person in the lecture halls of the UGM Faculty of Law, under the direct supervision of the course instructors and support staff. Each course features a variety of assessment formats, ranging from essay-based written exams and case studies to legal analysis assignments. For certain courses, assessments take the form of presentations or paper-based evaluations that emphasize students’ critical and argumentative thinking skills.

The administration of these midterm exams is an important part of the academic assessment system at the UGM Faculty of Law, aimed at measuring students’ understanding of course material during the first half of the semester. In addition to serving as an evaluation tool, the midterm exams also encourage students to hone their analytical thinking skills, legal logic, and the application of theory in practical contexts.

In the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the administration of these midterm exams reflects the Faculty of Law at UGM’s commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the implementation of a high-standard educational system focused on student competency outcomes. Furthermore, this activity also supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by instilling the values of integrity, academic honesty, and discipline in the legal education evaluation process.

Through these midterm exams, the UGM Faculty of Law hopes that students will not only demonstrate theoretical academic abilities but also develop a professional attitude, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to academic ethics—qualities that will prepare them to become outstanding law graduates with integrity and global competitiveness.

Fakultas Hukum Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) menyelenggarakan Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) Gasal Tahun Akademik 2025/2026 bagi mahasiswa Program Sarjana (S1) yang berlangsung selama dua pekan, mulai Senin (6/10/2025) hingga Jumat (17/10/2025).
