The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) once again organized a large-scale event that combined sports, the arts, and a sense of community. On Sunday (September 14, 2025), the Jogja Run\u2019nShine 2025 event was successfully held at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Arena (GIK). The event was attended by thousands of enthusiastic participants from various backgrounds, ranging from students and alumni to the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marathon was the brainchild of the Gadjah Mada Law Alumni Association (KAHGAMA FH UGM), with full support from the organizing committee led by Alfatika Aunuriella Dini, a lecturer in the Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, who served as the executive chairperson. In organizing the event, DEMA Justicia FH UGM actively collaborated to ensure its success, both from a technical standpoint and in terms of student participation. The main event presented by Run\u2019nShine 2025 is a running race with two categories: 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers. The route taken by participants is designed to pass through iconic landmarks in Yogyakarta, allowing runners to enjoy the distinctive atmosphere of this cultural city found in every corner of Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the organization of Run\u2019nShine 2025, DEMA Justicia FH UGM plays a key role as a partner of KAHGAMA. DEMA Justicia\u2019s involvement is not limited to the technical aspects of the organizing committee but also serves as a bridge connecting students with alumni of the UGM Faculty of Law. Through its involvement in Run\u2019nShine 2025, DEMA Justicia helps strengthen institutional ties with KAHGAMA, fosters ongoing communication, and creates opportunities for intergenerational collaboration among students, faculty, and alumni. This collaboration represents DEMA Justicia\u2019s effort to maintain good relations with alumni, while ensuring that the spirit of togetherness within the UGM Faculty of Law does not end with the completion of studies but continues through various social and professional activities. Thus, Run\u2019nShine 2025 also serves as a strategic platform for strengthening ties between UGM law students and alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing ceremony of Runn\u2019Shine 2025 wasn\u2019t just focused on sports; it also created a festive atmosphere through musical performances. The band Korek Kayu and singer Sal Priadi\u2014who served as the headliner\u2014entertained participants and spectators after they finished the morning\u2019s running events. The presence of these two musicians added to the excitement of the event while emphasizing Run\u2019nShine as an event that fosters synergy between sports, art, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this spirit of collaboration, Jogja Run\u2019nShine 2025 successfully created a healthy, inclusive space filled with positive energy. In addition, the participation of DEMA Justicia FH UGM serves as tangible evidence of law students\u2019 involvement in supporting sustainable social initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Run\u2019nShine 2025 supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among the community. Furthermore, this event contributes to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by utilizing the campus\u2019s public spaces in an inclusive and environmentally friendly manner, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among students, faculty, alumni, and the community in fostering a positive and sustainable culture of togetherness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
