{"id":35798,"date":"2025-06-03T15:02:17","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T08:02:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/law.ugm.ac.id\/?p=35798"},"modified":"2025-10-02T11:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T04:48:08","slug":"blc-fh-ugm-perkuat-literasi-hukum-dan-keuangan-melalui-blc-visit-ke-bank-indonesia-diy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.ugm.ac.id\/en\/blc-fh-ugm-perkuat-literasi-hukum-dan-keuangan-melalui-blc-visit-ke-bank-indonesia-diy\/","title":{"rendered":"BLC FH UGM Strengthens Legal and Financial Literacy through a BLC Visit to Bank Indonesia DIY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Business Law Community (BLC) <\/strong>The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University held a <strong>BLC <em>Visit<\/em><\/strong> to the Bank Indonesia (BI) Regional Representative Office in the Special Region of Yogyakarta <\/strong>with the theme <strong>\u201cBINGO: Bank Indonesia Talks with the Community\u201d. <\/strong> This event was held on Tuesday (June 3, 2025) and was attended by 40 UGM Law students with the aim of broadening their understanding of the role, functions, and strategic policies of Bank Indonesia as the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The visit began with an <em>office tour<\/em> and continued with a presentation covering monetary policy, macroprudential policy, payment systems, and consumer protection in the financial sector. In addition, participants took part in an interactive Q&amp;A session that addressed current issues, including developments in digital finance and Bank Indonesia\u2019s strategic measures to address potential cybercrime. This visit provided a hands-on learning experience on how BI maintains the stability of the rupiah, regulates the national financial system, and builds public trust through financial literacy education. First, this initiative supports <strong>SDG 4: Quality Education<\/strong> by enhancing financial literacy and understanding of business law, gained directly from central bank practitioners. Second, this program contributes to <strong>SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth<\/strong> by providing insights into career prospects in the strategic financial sector while fostering students\u2019 readiness to contribute to national economic stability. Third, by strengthening understanding of financial regulations, payment systems, and consumer protection, this activity aligns with <strong>SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions<\/strong> as it builds students\u2019 awareness of the importance of transparent and accountable financial governance. Thus, the BLC Visit serves not only as an academic forum but also as a strategic medium for cultivating a new generation of law students who are critical, adaptive, and oriented toward sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This activity is expected to serve as a first step for law students to gain a deeper understanding of the central banking sector while preparing themselves to face professional challenges.
