The opening ceremony for the 16th cohort of the Specialized Professional Training Program for Attorneys (PKPA) in 2025 was held online (via an online registration process) on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The opening ceremony of the 16th PKPA program marked the start of a series of lectures resulting from a collaboration between the Faculty of Law, UGM, and the Indonesian Advocates Association\u2014Suara Advokat Indonesia (PERADI SAI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening of PKPA XVI was attended by representatives from the UGM Faculty of Law as well as representatives from PERADI SAI. Representing the UGM Faculty of Law was the Associate Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL. M., M.A., the Head of the Center for Legal Consultation and Assistance (PKBH) at the UGM Faculty of Law, Dr. Dra. Dani Krisnawati, S.H., M.Hum., the Chair of the 16th PKPA Organizing Committee, Annisa Syaufika Y. R., S.H., M.H., as well as other committee members from the UGM Faculty of Law\u2019s PKBH. Furthermore, PERADI SAI invited Harry Ponto, S.H., LL.M., as Chairman of the National Executive Board of PERADI Suara Advokat Indonesia (DPN PERADI SAI), to deliver the opening remarks; Secretary General of the National Executive Board of PERADI SAI, Dr. A. Patra M. Zen, S.H., LL.M., and the Chair of the PERADI SAI Special Committee on Legal Professional Education, Dr. N. Pininta Ambuwaru, S.H., M.M., M.H., LL.M. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PKPA XVI program will run from Thursday, August 19, 2025, through Saturday, August 30, 2025, and will consist of 24 teaching sessions led by 21 experienced instructors from the UGM Faculty of Law and PERADI SAI. This PKPA program aims to provide law graduates with the opportunity to deepen their legal knowledge, enhance their practical skills, and instill integrity in preparation for the Advocate Professional Examination (UPA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the PKPA program is a tangible manifestation of support for Indonesia\u2019s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth. The implementation of this program ensures the delivery of quality education, thereby providing participants with opportunities to secure decent employment while contributing to national economic growth. The course materials have also been comprehensively designed in accordance with professional standards for attorneys. Thus, through this program, it is hoped that the quality and readiness of the 16th cohort of PKPA participants will improve significantly, enabling them to develop into competent, professional, and ethical prospective attorneys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
