The Master\u2019s Program in Health Law at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM), held an introductory and orientation session for new students on Friday (August 15, 2025) as part of the series of Inaugural Lectures for the FH UGM Graduate Program for the 2025\/2026 academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s inaugural lecture series carried the theme \u201cExploring the Legal Education Curriculum to Foster Legal Professionals of Integrity in the Era of Artificial Intelligence\u201d and was conducted in two sessions. The first session (8:30\u201311:30 a.m. WIB) focused on program introductions by each respective program, while the second session (1:00\u20134:30 p.m. WIB) featured a joint inaugural lecture for all new students of the UGM Faculty of Law Graduate Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The orientation for the Master of Health Law program took place in Room 3.1.2, Building III of the UGM Faculty of Law, and was attended by new students of that program. The presentation was delivered directly by the Program Chair, Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., who provided a detailed introduction to the academic system and learning processes in the Master\u2019s Program in Health Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his presentation, Prof. Jaka explained the fundamentals as outlined in the Academic Handbook, including: Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLOs), teaching methods, course structure and schedule, curriculum, thesis examination stages, and academic evaluation. This explanation aims to provide new students with a comprehensive overview so they can understand and prepare for the academic process ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Prof. Jaka also introduced the students to the academic administrators of the Master\u2019s Program in Health Law, who support the students\u2019 academic progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This event is part of the commitment of the Master\u2019s Program in Health Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, to provide high-quality legal education that is responsive to current developments and aligned with cross-sectoral needs, particularly in the health sector. Furthermore, this activity serves as a concrete step toward supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), through the provision of inclusive and sustainable higher education. Additionally, this program supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by strengthening legal capacity in the health sector, as well as SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by instilling the values of integrity, justice, and good academic governance in future legal professionals in the health sector.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
