The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) held a \u201cNew Student Parents\u2019 Meeting\u201d as part of a series of welcome events for undergraduate students for the 2025\/2026 academic year. The event took place on Monday (August 4, 2025) at the FH UGM Auditorium. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between the educational institution and families in creating an inclusive, supportive, and sustainable learning ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., who expressed her appreciation for the parents\u2019 trust in UGM as the place where their sons and daughters would pursue higher education. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of synergy between the university and families in supporting students\u2019 academic success and character development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next, the parents were introduced to the deanship and the Undergraduate Program Chair, who provided an overview of the curriculum, teaching methods, and various personal development programs offered by the faculty. This session aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the educational process at the UGM Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event took place in an interactive atmosphere, particularly during the Q&A session, which was marked by high enthusiasm from the parents. Questions ranging from academic support and career readiness to character development were answered openly by faculty representatives, reaffirming FH UGM\u2019s commitment to producing graduates who are intellectually outstanding as well as ethically and socially mature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative directly supports several points in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, namely: SDG 4<\/strong> or Quality Education. By fostering active communication between the university and parents, the UGM Faculty of Law reaffirms its commitment to providing inclusive, high-quality education and supporting the holistic character development of students. Through partnerships between educational institutions and families, UGM strengthens the collaboration that is essential to the process of sustainable education.
