Doctor of Law Program Faculty of Law UGM just finished the international accreditation visitation from a German accreditation agency namely International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). This event was conducted virtually for 3 days, started from 6 May 2025 and ended on 8 May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this visitation, FIBAA\u2019s assessor team interview the leaders of the Faculty and Study Programs was present, including the Dean of the Faculty of Law UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Collaboration, Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D.; the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M.; and the Head of the Doctoral Program in Law at UGM, Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. In addition, administrative staff, students, and alumni also took part in the interview sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This FIBAA assessment was also conducted alongside with the other three majors from Faculty of Politics and Social Science (Fisipol UGM), which were Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Management and Policy, and Master of Sociology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event was conducted online and opened with the presentation form Vice Rector for Education and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA. Furthermore, the visitation activities on the third day were closed by the Vice Rector for Human Resources and Finance, Prof. Dr. Supriyadi, M.Sc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIBAA Accreditation is known as a form of international recognition for the quality of higher education, especially in the field of internationalization and its relation with the business field. FIBAA assesses several aspects, started from international curriculum, theoretical and practical integration, until the potential of collaboration in the field of business. With obtaining the certification from FIBAA, FH UGM confidently strengthen their position as the educational institution with International standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of Law at UGM hopes that through this process, the quality of the Doctoral Program in Law will gain greater recognition at the global level. This effort represents a concrete step by the Faculty of Law at UGM toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, SDG 4: Quality Education<\/strong>, is evident in the Faculty of Law at UGM\u2019s commitment to improving the quality of higher education through international evaluations, globally oriented curriculum updates, and strengthening the integration of theory and practice. This demonstrates the institution\u2019s seriousness in providing excellent and globally relevant legal education. Second, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals<\/strong>, is reflected in inter-faculty collaboration during the accreditation process, as well as the involvement of various stakeholders\u2014including university leadership, faculty, administrative staff, students, alumni, and international organizations such as FIBAA. This collaboration underscores the importance of synergy in enhancing educational quality and expanding global recognition through strategic cross-sectoral and cross-national partnerships. Third, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions<\/strong>is also represented through the Faculty of Law\u2019s efforts to strengthen credible and ethical legal education institutions, serving as a vital foundation for the creation of a fair and transparent legal and justice system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
