On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Legal Consultation and Assistance Centre (Pusat Konsultasi Bantuan Hukum\/PKBH), paid a visit to the Yogyakarta Station of Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI Yogyakarta). The visit aimed to discuss collaboration and cooperation on a joint broadcasting program featuring FH UGM lecturers on TVRI Yogyakarta. Through this partnership, it is hoped that an educational program can be created that reaches a broader public audience with accessible and relevant legal knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative reflects the UGM Faculty of Law's commitment to advancing SDG 4 by delivering inclusive, equitable, and quality legal knowledge to all members of society, and SDG 17 by building meaningful partnerships to achieve concrete and impactful goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UGM Faculty of Law was represented at the meeting by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems; Dr. Airin Liemanto, S.H., LL.M., Secretary II of the PKBH FH UGM; and Adetia Surya Maulana, Ruth Jessieca Margareth, and Sahl Radian Setyaki as PKBH representatives. TVRI Yogyakarta was represented by Meidiana Pancawati and her team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This visit represents a follow-up step by the UGM Faculty of Law through PKBH as a concrete implementation of the Cooperation Agreement (Perjanjian Kerja Sama) between the UGM Faculty of Law and TVRI Yogyakarta. The broadcasting program will take the form of a live talkshow, with FH UGM contributing lecturers and students as resource persons and on-air participants, while TVRI Yogyakarta provides its broadcast infrastructure and studio facilities. The live talkshow, to be named \"Pro Justicia,\" is planned to air 18 times, running from April through December 2025. The broadcasting program with TVRI is also intended to feature as one of the outputs of the 2025 Legal Outreach Grant Program (Program Hibah Penyuluhan Hukum Tahun 2025) organized by the UGM Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planning meeting for the TVRI Yogyakarta broadcasting program proceeded smoothly and productively. The collaborative partnership between the two institutions is set to be formalized in the near future \u2014 serving as a concrete and impactful form of community engagement in line with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and contributing to the delivery of broader and higher-quality legal services for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
