To strengthen bonds of friendship and commemorate the 79th anniversary of the UGM Faculty of Law, the Gadjah Mada Law Alumni Association participated in a mangrove and casuarina tree planting event at the Pasir Kadilangu Coastal Mangrove Ecosystem in Kulonprogo on Saturday (February 22, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event began at 6:00 a.m. The group of Law Faculty alumni departed from campus for Pasir Kadilangu Beach. Upon arrival, alumni representatives, together with the Pasir Kadilangu Forest Farmers Group (KTH), planted 200 mangrove saplings and 100 casuarina saplings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This activity also aimed to provide education on planting mangroves and shrimp pines in the Pasir Kadilangu Beach Mangrove Ecosystem, Kulonprogo. After the planting was completed, the group returned to the UGM Faculty of Law to participate in the Alumni Gathering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Alumni Gathering began with opening remarks from representatives of the Dean\u2019s Office and alumni. The first speech was delivered by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv., LL.M., LL.D. This was followed by a speech from the alumni representative and chair of KAHGAMA, Prof. Dr. Paripurna P. Sugarda, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the Alumni Gathering, alumni were invited to reminisce while viewing the winning entries from the photography contest. The atmosphere at the event became even more relaxed during the entertainment session and shared lunch. The event concluded at 2:30 p.m. WIB with a group photo session.
