On Thursday (November 28, 2024), the Master\u2019s Program in Business and Public Law (MHBK) at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), held a workshop focused on the development of the Semester Course Plan (RPKPS) and portfolios based on Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA). The event took place in Room III.1.1 of the Faculty of Law and was conducted online via Simaster, allowing all MHBK program faculty members to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This workshop was organized in response to developments in education policy, particularly in line with the implementation of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023 on Higher Education Quality Assurance and UGM Rector\u2019s Regulation No. 23 of 2024 on Education. The event featured a speaker from UGM\u2019s Directorate of Academic Studies and Innovation (DKIA), accompanied by the Faculty of Law\u2019s Quality Assurance and Academic Innovation (JAMIA) team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussions during the workshop covered the need to update the RPKPS, the creation of online course portfolios via Simaster, as well as discussion sessions and direct guidance. This collaborative effort aims to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date with current educational needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This workshop also represents a significant contribution to achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4, which focuses on Quality Education. Through the revision of the RPKPS based on Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA), this initiative is expected to improve the quality of higher education, ensuring that education remains relevant to contemporary demands and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Continuous curriculum improvements and adaptive assessment methods are expected to produce graduates from the MHBK program who are competent and ready to face global challenges. This aligns with UGM\u2019s broader vision of creating an educational environment that prioritizes quality and relevance in its academic offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the world continues to evolve, the need for educational institutions to adapt and innovate becomes increasingly crucial. The MHBK Program at UGM is committed to this mission, ensuring that its graduates not only possess knowledge but are also equipped with the skills to navigate the complexities of the modern world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conclusion, the workshop on OBA-based RPKPS development is a proactive step toward improving the quality of education at UGM.
