Kulon Progo, September 12, 2024 \u2013 On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Legal Consultation and Aid Center (PKBH), in collaboration with the DIY High Prosecutor's Office, successfully held the \"Suluh Praja\" legal counseling program at the Kulur Village Hall, Temon District, Kulon Progo Regency, DIY. This legal counseling program aimed to provide legal insights and knowledge to the participants, which included village officials and local residents, on common legal issues. This edition of Suluh Praja focused on the theme of \u201cAlternative Dispute Resolution,\u201d to provide legal insight related to Understanding Alternative Dispute Resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event began at 09.30 AM with a collective singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. The session continued with opening remarks by the Representatives Kulur Village, namely Mr. Adi Nugroho, S.T.P. Following this, Mr. Nurhadi, S.H., M.H. from the DIY High Prosecutor's Office provided an introduction and presented material on the duties, principles, and functions of the civil and state administrative division of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation of the material was presented by speakers from the Faculty of Law UGM, namely Mrs. Herliana, S.H., M.Com.Law., Ph.D. as a Lecturer in Civil Procedure Law, Faculty of Law UGM, Mrs. Florencia Irena Gunawan, S.H., LL.M.(Adv) as a Lecturer in Tax Law, Faculty of Law UGM, and Mr. Virga Dwi Efendi, S.H., LL.M. as a Lecturer in State Administrative Law, Faculty of Law UGM who presented the theme \"Alternative Dispute Resolution\" to provide insight into the legal aspects and regulations to the participants related to the implementation of Alternative Dispute Resolution. The three speakers from the UGM Faculty of Law actively participated in the discussion in the question and answer session with the village officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentations from the three speakers were delivered interactively and engagingly, resulting in a productive discussion. The lecturers also provided clear and solution-oriented responses to participants' questions. The implementation of this legal counseling is expected to be an effort to strengthen an inclusive and peaceful society and realize point 1 of the SDGs to help eradicate poverty and point 16 of the SDGs to realize peace, justice, and strong institutions starting from the village government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
