Thursday (22\/02\/2024), Ringinharjo Subdistrict, Bantul, became the participants of the Suluh\nPraja Legal Counselling that aimed to provide legal knowledge for the public as well as the\nremaining problem. This counselling was held by the collaboration between Yogyakarta High\nOffice Prosecutor and Faculty of Law UGM.<\/span><\/p>\n

This counselling was started by the presentation of \u201cDuties, Main Function, and Responsibility of\nHigh Prosecutor\u2019s Office\u201d that discuss on the role of prosecutor in handling the legal problem in DIY Region. <\/span>Sustainable Development Goals<\/span><\/i> This notion supports the implementation of the 16th point of SDGs concerning\nPeace, Justice, and Strong Institution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Followed by Annisa Syaufika Yustitia Ridwah, S.H., M.H. that presented the explanation on\nPeer-to-Peer Lending from the perspective of civil law. Furthermore, Annisa Syaufika also\nexplained about the various aspects regarding platform, the difference between legal and illegal lending, characteristic, and also the resolution that possibly arise. This explanation contributed to the implementation of the 8th point on Decent Work and Economic Growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, Diantika Rindam Floranti, S.H., LL.M. explained about Peer-to-Peer Lending from the\nperspective of the criminal law comprehensively. She highlighted various types of electronic\nbased crimes, the effect arie, and the legal protection for the victim. This explanation is related to the implementation of the 10th point of SDGs on Reducted Inequalities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Afterwards, the question and answered forum was opened for the participants. This session\nhighlighted the legal protection for the WhistleBlower for the Peer-to-Peer Lending crimes and the inheritance and working opportunity for the child from the siri marriage. The answers that revealed were emphasized the importance of equal legal protection for all levels of society, in accordance with the 16th and 10th point of SDGs.<\/span><\/p>\n

This counselling ended with the hope that legal knowledge that have been shared to the public\nwould form a strong base in protecting their rights and contributed to the SDGs.<\/span><\/p>\n
