UGM continues to strengthen its identity as a World-Class University (WCU). This was demonstrated by an academic benchmarking visit to the City University of Hong Kong School of Law (CityU School of Law) on Thursday (October 12, 2023).<\/p>\n
The UGM delegation was led by the Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., along with several other members of the delegation, namely Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv LL. M., LL.D., Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, S.H., LL.M., M.A., and Nailul Amany, S.H., M.H.<\/p>\n
According to Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., this academic benchmarking aims to strengthen international collaboration with the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) while improving the academic and non-academic quality of the Bachelor\u2019s and Doctoral programs in Law at the UGM Faculty of Law. CityU School of Law offers several degree programs, including the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), Master of Laws in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (LLMArbADR), Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).<\/p>\n
The academic benchmarking activities at CityU School of Law provided new insights into how to address challenges in managing the faculty and degree programs.<\/p>\n
During this visit, an initiative was also launched to establish a collaboration between CityU School of Law and the UGM Faculty of Law. The Dean of CityU School of Law, Prof. Lin Feng, welcomed the collaboration with the UGM Faculty of Law, particularly regarding several cooperative programs such as student exchanges for undergraduate students and joint supervision for the PhD double-degree program. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 7: Quality Education and Partnerships for the Goals.<\/p>\n
