Triharjo, June 22, 2023 -- On Thursday, June 22, 2023, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with Kejati DIY, held a legal outreach session titled \"Datun Suluh Praja\" at Triharjo Village, Bantul. The session aimed to give village officials and local residents a stronger understanding of the use of village cash land from the perspective of taxes and levies (pajak dan retribusi).<\/p>\n
This session featured resource persons with relevant expertise in tax and levy law. Taufiq Adiyanto, S.H., LL.M., as the first resource person, provided explanation and insight into the tax law aspects relating to the use of village cash land. Anugrah Anditya, S.H., M.T., as the second resource person, addressed the levy (retribusi) perspective on the use of village cash land.<\/p>\n
In this session, the village officials of Triharjo and local residents in attendance gained an in-depth understanding of the tax and levy obligations relating to the use of village cash land. The resource persons explained the relevant regulations and procedures for tax and levy payments, along with the legal implications of non-compliance.<\/p>\n
Beyond the explanations provided by the resource persons, Kejati also presented on the duties and authority of prosecutors in the Civil and State Administrative Division at Kejati DIY. Under the Governor's mandate, Suluh Praja is conducted as a preventive measure -- providing direct education to village officials, particularly with regard to legal issues encountered in carrying out their governmental functions.<\/p>\n
An interactive discussion between the resource persons and participants was also held, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences relating to the use of village cash land. These questions were answered clearly and constructively by the resource persons, giving participants a stronger understanding.<\/p>\n
With the conclusion of the Datun Suluh Praja Legal Outreach session in Triharjo, it is hoped that public awareness regarding tax and levy obligations relating to the use of village cash land will continue to grow. The UGM Faculty of Law and Kejati DIY remain committed to continuing to carry out legal outreach activities of this kind to provide stronger understanding to the public.
