easily detected in every sector. It is almost certain that there is not a single area that is not touched by corruption, be it the political, economic, social, cultural, or even religious spheres. In terms of effect, the damage that is caused by corruption is vividly real. Starting from the leakage of the state budget (as well as losses) in large numbers to the poverty that ensnares the majority of citizens. Such damages are more or less the impact (directly or indirectly) of corruption. As a result, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">corruption is the root of evil.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assuming that corruption in Indonesia has escalated quickly and done systematically with massive effect, it can be ensured that every resistance effort and shock therapy for the corruption by the anti-corruption movement should be done systematically. One of the various methods to systemize the anti-corruption movement is by identifying the role and position that can be set by each element of the anti-corruption move correctly. By doing this method, every anti-corruption movement element can contribute to corruption eradication optimally, while not neglecting synergy and collaborative work between the anti-corruption elements. This assumption also applies to the Faculty of Law UGM, as one of the \u201cstrengths of the moral movement\u201d in a grand narrative of anti-corruption. This means that if the faculty of law is aiming to optimize their involvement in order to eradicate corruption, they should correctly identify their role and their position.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regarding the faculty of law UGM, identifying the role and strategic position in a corruption eradication narrative, it seems that it will not be far from its current capacity as part of a tertiary institution that carries out the functions and missions of Three Principles of Higher Education, research and community service. Within this context and perspective, the formation of Pusat Kajian Anti Korupsi\/Center for Anti-Corruption Studies (PUKAT KORUPSI) finds its urgency and its strategic value. The existence of this institution itself becomes an answer regarding the need for role and position optimization in the corruption eradication movement. From the momentum aspect, the initiation of the establishment coincided with the consolidation of a network of law faculties throughout Indonesia for the anti-corruption movement at the Anti-Corruption Summit (ACS) which is planned to be held on 11-13 August 2005 not to mention considering the results of the Focused Group Discussion forum (FGD) I and II cooperation bodies (BKS) of law faculties throughout Indonesia, which were held on 22 June and 15 July 2005 at the Jogja Plaza hotel, which stated that PUKAT CORRUPTION FH UGM, besides having its own anti-corruption programs, also simultaneously will become the joint secretariat and coordinator of anti-corruption study centers which will also be established in each of the law faculties throughout
