class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Doctor in Law Study Program (PDIH) Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) has been held since September 1, 1980 (The academic Year 1980\/1981). Initially, it was managed by the Doctor Education Institute of UGM which was under the coordination of the UGM Graduate Faculty. In line with the change in UGM\u2019s status to a State-Owned Legal Entity (BHMN), the Study Program is designed to realize Universitas Gadjah Mada as an international research university based on the Rector Decree Universitas Gadjah Mada Number 89\/P\/SK\/ HT\/2006. It is expected that the students will be strong candidates for teaching posts at law schools, as well as for other positions in law and PS diselenggarakan sejak tanggal 1 September 1980 dan dikelola oleh Lembaga Pendidikan Doktor Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) yang berada di bawah koordinasi Fakultas Pascasarjana UGM. Sejalan dengan perubahan status UGM menjadi Badan Hukum Milik Negara (BHMN) serta upaya untuk mewujudkan UGM sebagai Universitas Riset bertaraf Internasional maka berdasarkan Keputusan Rektor Universitas Gadjah Mada Nomor 89\/P\/SK\/HT\/2006, penyelenggaraan program pasca sarjana yang bersifat monodisiplin pengelolaannya dilaksanakan oleh Fakultas, sehingga sejak saat itu PS dikelola oleh Fakultas Hukum UGM (FH UGM). Dalam perjalanannya untuk mewujudkan semangat <em>from good to great faculty of law<\/em>, FH UGM melalui PS telah memberikan kontribusi penting dalam perkembangan bangsa dan negara, dan khususnya pada perkembangan ilmu hukum di Indonesia. Banyak pendapat dan pemikiran yang lahir, tumbuh, dan kemudian menyebar dari FH UGM yang kemudian digunakan untuk memperkuat dan memperbaiki sistem hukum Indonesia, selaras dengan cita FH UGM untuk menciptakan <em>Bulaksumur School of Legal Thoughts<\/em>.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Second Strength<\/strong>, kelengkapan bidang kajian hukum. PS didukung oleh alat struktur organisasi FH UGM, berupa Departemen yang bertugas mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan sebagai unsur pelaksana penyelenggaraan akademik. PS didukung 11 (sebelas) Departemen, yang terdiri dari:<\/p><ol style=\"text-align: justify\"><li>Department of Customary Law<\/li><li>Department of Administrative Law<\/li><li>Department of Agrarian Law<\/li><li>Department of Business Law<\/li><li>Department of International Law<\/li><li>Department of Islamic Law<\/li><li>Department of Environmental Law<\/li><li>Department of Tax Law<\/li><li>Department of Civil Law<\/li><li>Department of Criminal Law<\/li><li>Department of Constitutional Law<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dengan dukungan 11 (sebelas) Departemen tersebut menjadi PS memiliki cakupan bidang keilmuan yang bukan semata luas, tetapi juga memiliki spesifikasi yang mendalam pada setiap bidang kajian yang diampu oleh Departemen. Hal ini berkontribusi terhadap kualitas pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan oleh PS.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Third Strength<\/strong>, kejelasan lingkup pembelajaran.
