This means the exceptional students can obtain two master&#8217;s degrees in law, one from UGM and one from a partner university abroad, without having to spend extra years. In approximately two years successful candidates will have obtained double <em>LLM<\/em> degrees from UGM and a partner university. The Faculty is currently under negotiation with more prospective partners for a dual graduate scheme, but at the present, students in the Master in Law Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) can pursue another LLM degree\u00a0 at the University of Glasgow (UofG) and University of Durham<\/p><p><strong>Program Detail Double Degree at the University of Glasgow<\/strong><\/p><table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 100%\"><tbody><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>UGM Programme (Year 1)<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><p>Dual Degree (full time 2yr programme)<\/p><p>Master in Law (LLM Program)<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/law.ugm.ac.id\/master-in-laws-llm-program\/\">https:\/\/law.ugm.ac.id\/master-in-laws-llm-program\/<\/a><\/p><p>in the areas of:<\/p><ul><li>International Law<\/li><li>Business Law<\/li><li>Law &amp; Governance<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>UofG Programme (Year 2)<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><ul><li>Corporate &amp; Financial Law [LLM]<\/li><li>Human Rights [LLM]<\/li><li>Intellectual Property &amp; the Digital Economy [LLM]<\/li><li>International Commercial Law [LLM]<\/li><li>International Competition Law &amp; Policy [LLM]<\/li><li>International Economic Law [LLM]<\/li><li>International Law [LLM]<\/li><li>International Law &amp; Security [LLM]<\/li><li>Law [LLM]<\/li><li>Law [LLM by Research]<\/li><\/ul><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gla.ac.uk\/schools\/law\/postgraduate\/\">https:\/\/www.gla.ac.uk\/schools\/law\/postgraduate\/<\/a><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Date of first entry for first intake<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\">August 2024 at UGM for Year 1 and in September 2025 for UofG in Year 2 (for the first Intake).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Subsequent dates of entry for the term of the Programme Schedule<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><p>September 2025, 2026 and 2027 at UGM<\/p><p>September 2026, 2027 and 2028 at UofG<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Number of consecutive Intakes<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\">4 (four) remaining intake within this framework agreement with final intake graduating in 2030. (Winter Ceremony).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Effective date of expiry of Agreement<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\" width=\"518\">September 2029 (the last intake starting in September 2027 at UGM and finishing in UofG in Year 2) therefore the agreement ends in September 2029<\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Structure<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><p><strong>UGM will deliver Year 1 and will recognise the credits delivered by UofG in Year 2 as part of UGM\u2019s 2yr programme.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Y1 (40 Indonesian Credits) \u2013 UGM LLM Year 1\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Y2 (180 SCQF) \u2013 UofG LLM, <\/strong>including a Dissertation (60 SCQF)<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Progression<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><p>Y1 Programme starts in September and runs for two semesters until the end of June in the following calendar year.<\/p><p>Y2 at UofG starts in September and runs for two semesters. Semester 2 finishes at the end of May and Students work on the thesis\/dissertation over the summer. The thesis\/ dissertation is submitted at the end of August\/ beginning of September.<\/p><p>Thesis\/dissertation (according to UofG regulations)<\/p><ul><li>Students choose from thesis\/dissertation topics coordinated jointly by UGM and UofG. This may be a joint discussion that takes place at UGM in Y1.<\/li><li>At UofG late submission or resubmission of the dissertation is possible with an additional fee, although no additional supervision is available for resubmissions \u2013 Students have up to 3 months for resubmission (once only). Beyond three months there is a fee.<\/li><li>The thesis\/dissertation is part of the UofG programme and is therefore subject to UofG Regulations. Any arrangements for joint supervision must comply with UofG Regulations, with the details to be agreed by the Joint Management Board.<\/li><li>UofG Grading table will be required for reference [see Annex 1 in the MoA]<\/li><li>To comply with UGM\u2019s regulations, a private viva\/an oral defence will also take place in front of a committee of three examiners. This will be arranged by UGM with inclusion of 1 x UofG supervisor via video link where agreed\/required. This may also take place back at UGM after completion of the UofG Programme. For the avoidance of doubt, this viva process arranged via UGM is not part of the thesis\/dissertation assessment of the UofG Programme.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\" width=\"117\"><strong>Entry Requirements at UofG (including English Language Requirements)<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\" width=\"518\"><p>A first degree in law at the required level and GPA, as specified in the entry requirements for the relevant UofG programme on the UofG webpage for that programme: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gla.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/taught\/law\/#englishlanguagerequirements\">University of Glasgow &#8211; Postgraduate study &#8211; Taught degree programmes A\u2011Z &#8211; Law (LLM)<\/a><\/p><p>The standard of competence in English as required by UofG at the time of application for the subject of Law, as evidenced by an accepted English Language test or successful completion of UofG\u2019s pre-sessional English course, which shall as a minimum comply with the standard of competence in English required by the UK Home Office at the time of the Student&#8217;s admission to the Programme and may change year on year.\u00a0 Up to date English language requirements are as specified on the UofG webpage for the relevant programme, as linked above.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td style=\"width: 29.3043%\"><strong>Admissions and Application Deadline<\/strong><\/td><td style=\"width: 70.6957%\"><p>At UGM the application deadline is end of June (with the possibility of late application) for Year 1.<\/p><p>Applicants will apply to UGM and be assessed by UGM for Year 1 and apply to UofG and be assessed by UofG for Year 2.<\/p><p>UGM will indicate the number of Expressions of Interest they have received for Year 2 at UofG, by early March at the latest (for the following September) so that places can be ring-fenced for them for Year 2.
