Sigit Riyanto is the Vice Dean for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, the Director of the International Undergraduate Program and also the Director in the Department of International Law in the faculty. He started his career as a lecturer in 1988. He teaches International Law affairs in the faculty of law Universitas Gadjah Mada. He has written several articles on legal issues, including The US Intervention in Somalia: Humanitarian Mission Versus Legality (Kompas: 1992); Any Sort of Intervention is Unlawful (The Jakarta Post: 1993); The Rights of State to Permanent Sovereignty Over Natural Wealth and Resources and the Protection of Foreign Investment (Nottingham University: 1994) and the other articles which were published in Mimbar Hukum and also in the journal of International Law. He graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada and University of Nottingham in Legal Science.
