THE FACILITIES OF FACULTY OF LAW OF UGM

EDUCATION
Comfortable class room, with air conditioner and a computer connected to the internet and an LCD projector. Students are also enabled to access the internet through the available wireless connection. Each class could hold up to 50 students to support a better learning environment.

Online academic informational system, the system built to support a faster and easier academic administration running at a real-time base. This system is integrated with the academic administration, both for lecturers and students, which can be accessed from the internet for the administrative process can go online.

LIBRARY
Comforting layout is designed to improve students’ interest to visit the library and added with the increasing number of collections owned by the library. Due to digitalized printing, the library of faculty of law of GMU subscribed to the online journal of West Law. To access the journal of West Law is by entering our website and click on the West Law’s icon. This could only be accessed from the faculty of law of UGM.

ADMINISTRATION ROOM
Administration room is designed to improve the administrative activities and to optimize the services for the students and faculty’s guest. Each of the computers needed for the administrative process is connected through local area network whereas most of the computers are connected through the internet.

Informatics system is being used widely by the finance department, class management, Inland Revenue that each division could work simultaneously with other departments.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Our 4 Mbps internet subscription is shared to fulfilled students’ need to access the internet wirelessly from our hotspot area, public computer, and bridge computer. The internet connection is used as well to support the administrative process and for information.

The computer lab facility is equipped with 48 personal computers which 18 of them are used for public access. It is hoped that the given facility could be used by the students in maximum capacity.

MULTIMEDIA LABORATORY
Our 2  multimedia lab can hold up to 110 students. The room is supported with air conditioner and fully equipped with sound system, lighting system, presentation system, and video-teleconference system.

RATNANINGSIH RESIDENCE
Ratnaningsih Residence which was previously under the management of Directorate Students of Gadjah Mada University, has been handed over to the Directorate of Development and Asset Management of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Ratnaningsih Residence is provided by the Universitas Gadjah Mada as a temporary residential for new students from other cities with 1 (one) year live permit.

Ratnaningsih Residence is a dorm offered for students where intimacy between host along with the academic atmosphere is eminent for students with various backgrounds to develop themselves and to improve the ability to interact even more. It is located on Jl Kartini no 2, Sagan, Yogyakarta or about 500 m away from Universitas Gadjah Mada’s main entrance. “Ratnaningsih” dorm occupies an area of 3060m2 which is a 2 floors heritage building inaugurated by Indonesia’s first president; Ir. Soekarno, in 1954. “Ratnaningsih” provided a total of 32 rooms. Each room has a measurement of 5m x 7m which could be occupied by 3 inhabitants. Each room is facilitated with 3 foam beds, Dacron pillows, a table, drawers, and a bathroom. Another additional facility given is the sporting facility (volley court and ping-pong table), guest room and a hall for various activities, parking space, and soup kitchen.

Dorm fee is IDR 200 000,-/month which is paid accumulated for 6 months + depository fee of 1 month; which will be returned when the inhabitant’s live permit is concluded.

BULAKSUMUR RESIDENCE
Bulaksumur Residence of Gadjah Mada University is a residential facility provided for students, lecturers, training program participant, and faculty’s guest, for every majors and institutions, and study center in the surrounding of Gadjah Mada University.

Bulaksumur Residence is located inside of the campus of UGM, next to sporting facility and valley park of UGM.

Bulaksumur Residence has 2 units building with the capacity of 168 rooms whereas each room could be occupied by 2 inhabitants. The facility provided by the Bulaksumur Residence is around the clock security, hall, parking space, a garden, lobby, mosque, canteen, soup kitchen, and other sporting facility.

DHARMAPUTRA RESIDENCE
Dharmaputra Residence of Universitas Gadjah Mada is a residential facility provided for students, lecturers, training program participant, and faculty’s guest, for every majors and institutions, and study center in the surrounding of Universitas Gadjah Mada.

It is located on Jl. Andong no.1, Baciro, Yogyakarta, next to Mandala Krida. It is 3 km away from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Dharmaputra Residence occupies an area of 4.522 m2 which consists of 3 main buildings. The northern building is a 3 floors dorm with a capacity of 94 rooms equipped with air conditioner and water heater. Each room could only be occupied by 1 inhabitant. The southern building is a 3 floors building with a capacity 73 rooms. Each room can be occupied up to 3 inhabitants. In the middle, is a building provided for sporting activities and conference hall.

Various facilities are available for inhabitants to choose. Additional facility is around the clock security, hall, parking area, a garden, lobby, mosque, canteen, kitchen soup, and other sporting facility.
