Mimbar Hukum

Profile

“Mimbar Hukum” Journal was lounched following the establishment of the Publication Bureau of Faculty of Law UGM, based on Dean’s decision letter No. 573/H-IX/74 in 1 June 1974. the Publication Bureau of Faculty of Law UGM was established to be an independent publisher which can publish and print for the UGM’s needs and to help publishing scientific works especially legal science.

Activities of Publication Bureau of Faculty of Law UGM are:

1	Conducting the printings and publications for the interest of Faculty of Law UGM;
2	Disseminating the knowledge, especially Legal knowledge such as legal works from lecturers/lectirers’ assistants/Alumni of Faculty of Law UGM, Research report, thesis, etc.
3	Publishing legal magazines as a medium to devote legal opinions and as a communication instrument among the students, lecturers, and alumni of Faculty of Law UGM
4	Giving general services in printings and publications.

Afterwards, based on the meeting decision Faculty of Law in 8 December 1975, the activities in Publication Bureau of Faculty of Law UGM were centered to legal scientific journal called “Mimbar Hukum”.

Based on “TRI DHARMA” of UGM, Journal of “Mimbar HUkum” is published for Faculty of Law UGM, parties who have interest in it, and society outside UGM. The financial resources of “Mimbar Hukum” are from Faculty of Law UGM, alumni’s foundation, and others’ foundation.

In its development, journal of “Mimbar Hukum” publishes 3 times per year. It is held on February, June, and October. Besides that, Journal “Mimbar Hukum” also publishes English edition and special edition to commemorate special moments.
In order to improve the quality of “Mimbar Hukum” Journal, the management has made some strategic steps such as the involving of ‘bestari’ as a partner and its roles in administrative management. Besides that, “Mimbar Hukum” has made a change in its management.
