In dealing with era of AFTA (Asian Free Trade Area) 2010, Center for Intellectual Property, Competition, and Dispute Settlement Mechanism Studies (CICODS) of Law faculty of UGM collaborated with Program of Master Business Law and Constitutional Law will conduct a national seminar and short course.

The national seminar will raise a theme entitled “IP and Competition in era of AFTA 2010” and will be conducted on Monday 15 February 2010 in Room III.1.1 of Law Faculty of UGM.

This occasion will present Dr. Bambang Kesowo, S.H., LL.M. (CICODS), Dra. Sri Adiningsih, M.A.., PHD, (FEB UGM), Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., (FH UGM), Dr. Sukarmi, S.H., M.H., (KPPU), Toni Suryo Utomo, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. (CICODS).

Participant from Undergraduate will be charged IDR 50,000.00, from Graduate is IDR 100,000.00, from Postgraduate is IDR 150,000.00

Short course of “Paten Protection and Paten Drafting”(“Perlindungan Paten dan Drafting Paten”) will be conducted on Thursday to Friday 18-19 February 2010 in Room IV.2.3. Faculty of Law of UGM.

This Short Course will present resource persons namely Dina Widyaputri K., S.H., LL.M. (Faculty of Law UGM) who will raise a theme “Paten Protection in Indonesia” (“Perlindungan Paten di Indonesia”) Tomi Suryo Utomo, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. (CICODS) who will raise a theme "The Application of Equivalent Theory in Interpreting Scope of Paten Claim” (“Aplikasi Teori Equivalent dalam Menafsirkan Ruang Lingkup Claim Paten”) and Dr. Robinson Sinaga, S.H., LL.M., ((Patent Examiner DGIP Republic of Indonesia) ) with a theme “Paten Proposal and Paten Documents Compiling” (“Pendaftaran Paten dan Penyusunan Dokumen Paten”)

The contribution for students from Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate Degree is IDR 300,000.00 and for public is IDR 600,000.00.
