    FH UGM Jointly with Charles Darwin University, Australia will hold a Short Course with a Theme “Corporate Law in a Divided World”

    As the Lecturer for this course is Jesswyn Yogaratnam from University of Chales Darwin, Australia

    This occasion will be held fro 10 September 2009 to 15 September 2009. These courses are divided into four sessions;

    First session is on Thursday 10 September 2009, with its focus study on

    An Australian perspective to Company Law
    - Introduction to the formation of a company
    - An interactive session with students on their knowledge of Indonesian
    Company law
    - Online clips on a the concept of a company
    - Students will have to research on an Indonesian corporate scandal for
    discussion in the subsequent classes

    Second session is on Friday 11 September 2009, with its focus study on
    Corporate Governance in Australia
    - An exercise with students on CG in Indonesia
    - Case study on an Australian corporate scandal
    - Movie time - watch a dev on a 'Corporate Debacle'
    - Students will be given a case study for discussion in next class

    Third session is on Thursday 14 September 2009, with its focus study on
    Breach of directors' duties
    - An insight into the law on breach of directors' duties and the
    development of the law in lifting the corporate veil
    - Law reform initiatives to make directors more accountable
    - Discussion on case study

    Fourth session is on Thursday 15 September 2009, with its focus study on
    Members' rights and Dissolution of a company
    - case study
    - student feedback


    Contribution for this short course is;

    ·      - Students of UGM: 2 sessions (Rp. 50.000,-), 4 sessions (Rp. 100.000,-)

    ·      - Others              : 2 sessions (Rp. 100.000,-), 4 sessions (Rp. 150.000,-)
